Welcome to Because Rum is a Vegetable. The following policies apply to all bookings, purchases, and interactions with our business. By using our services or making a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Bookings are confirmed only after full payment has been received.
Bookings missed by the customer on the scheduled date are non-refundable.
Any changes or cancellations must be communicated in advance via our contact page at https://www.becauserumisavegetable.com/contact-us/.
2.1 Minimum Age Requirement: All participants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older to book or partake in any experience offered by Because Rum is A Vegetable Ltd.
2.2 Verification of Identity: All guests are strictly required to present a valid, government-issued photo identification (e.g., Driver’s License, Passport, or National ID) upon arrival.
2.3 Right to Refuse Service: Because Rum is A Vegetable Ltd. reserves the right to deny entry or participation to any individual who fails to provide valid identification or who does not meet the minimum age requirement. In such instances, the booking may be deemed a “missed booking” and will remain non-refundable.
3.1 Check-in and Arrival: Guests are required to arrive at the designated location at Artisan Village at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to the scheduled start time of their experience.
3.2 Late Arrivals: Experiences operate on a strict schedule. Late arrival may result in a shortened experience or, at the discretion of management, forfeiture of the booking without a refund to avoid disruption to other participants.
3.3 Code of Conduct: All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner. Because Rum is A Vegetable Ltd. reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or intoxicated, without liability for a refund.
4.1 Dietary Requirements & Sustenance: For the safety and well-being of our guests, all participants are required to have consumed a substantial meal at least thirty (30) minutes prior to the commencement of any experience involving alcohol consumption.
4.2 Disclosure of Allergies: Participants must advise Because Rum is A Vegetable Ltd. of any known food or beverage allergies, sensitivities, or dietary restrictions at the time of booking or immediately upon arrival. While we strive to accommodate such needs, safety remains a shared responsibility, and the guest must exercise caution.
4.3 Pregnancy Policy: Due to the nature of our experiences and the health risks associated with alcohol consumption during pregnancy, individuals who are pregnant are advised not to participate in these experiences.
4.4 Medical Condition Disclaimer: By participating, guests acknowledge they are in suitable physical condition to engage in the experience. Because Rum is A Vegetable Ltd. shall not be held liable for adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed medical conditions or failure to follow safety guidelines.
Cancellations must be made in writing via our contact page at https://www.becauserumisavegetable.com/contact-us/.
Cancellations received at least 72 hours before the booking date may be eligible for a reschedule, subject to availability.
Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the booking date are non-refundable.
In the unlikely event that Because Rum is a Vegetable cancels a booking, customers will be offered the choice of a full refund or a rescheduled date.
We do not accept returns on products that have been used, opened, or damaged after collection.
Returns are only accepted if the product is defective or incorrect.
Customers must notify us immediately if a product is defective or incorrect via our contact page.
All returned items must be collected or inspected in person at:

Refunds will only be issued for eligible returns or in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Because Rum is a Vegetable.
Refunds for bookings are not provided if the customer misses the scheduled date.
Refunds for eligible products will be processed within 10 business days after inspection and approval.
Any exceptions will be communicated to the customer in advance.
We do not ship products. All orders must be collected in person at:

Customers are responsible for collecting orders during the agreed-upon pickup times.
Payments for bookings and shop purchases must be made through the methods indicated at the time of order or booking.
Prices are displayed in Jamaican dollars and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Customer information collected during bookings or purchases is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information is used to process orders, maintain booking records, and respond to inquiries submitted via our contact form.
We use Google Analytics to monitor website usage and improve user experience.
Because Rum is a Vegetable reserves the right to update these policies at any time, any changes will be posted on this page and are effective immediately upon posting.
Customers are encouraged to review this page before making bookings or purchases to remain informed of current policies.
All disputes will be resolved in accordance with Jamaican law.
